The chaussée de Waterloo, the nerve center of the district

We’ll meet you at the extreme north of the district, not far from the Vivier d’Oie. Let’s start with the chaussée de Waterloo. All along this street, the signs follow one another. You are really where the commercial offer of the district is centralized. Perfumeries, Concept-Stores like Bonzai+ or No Concept, clothing and accessory stores like River Woods, Comptoir des Cotonniers, Petit Bateau or Women’s Secret, cosmetic stores, banks, liberal professions… this is where the inhabitants benefit from all the services essential to a pleasant city life.

The culinary professions in the spotlight

And it is precisely on the Chaussée de Waterloo that you will be able to find some of Brussels’ favorite culinary institutions. Let’s start with the Callier pastry shop and its famous chocolate breads, then stop at Tartes de Françoises a little further down the road. Turn your head, on the other side of the street is the Comptoir du Forcado. There, you will taste the best Portuguese specialties of the capital. Are you more salty than sweet? In that case, we’ll take you to the Saint-Octave Cheesemonger or do some shopping at Färm.

Sport and relaxation for all!

After having eaten, we invite you to try the sports offer of the district. And the least we can say is that there is something for everyone! Let’s start with the David Lloyd club where a variety of classes for all ages are held. You will be amazed by the charm of this castle standing in the heart of a park facing the forest of Soignes. Want to ride a horse? We stay in the green, but this time we take the direction of the bascule. Follow us, we invite you to the Centre Equestre de la Cambre or the Royal Étrier Belge. Finally, if you are a tennis or field hockey fan, you should go to the Royal Racing Club, avenue des Chênes.
